  9. Controls For Do-Not-Track Features

    Most browsers and some mobile apps offer a Do-Not-Track (“DNT”) setting to signal your preference not to be tracked. However, no uniform standard for recognizing DNT signals exists, so we do not currently respond to them. If a standard is adopted, we will update this Privacy Notice accordingly.

    California law requires us to disclose our response to DNT signals. Since no industry or legal standard exists, we do not respond at this time.

    We may use your personal information for our own business purposes, such as for undertaking internal research for technological development and demonstration. This is not considered to be "selling" of your personal information.

    We have not disclosed, sold, or shared any personal information to third parties for a business or commercial purpose in the preceding twelve (12) months. We will not sell or share personal information in the future belonging to website visitors, users, and other consumers.

    How to Exercise Your Rights

    To exercise your rights, submit a data subject access request, email us at partnerships@appliedmind.com, or use the contact details below. We will honor opt-out preferences if you enable the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal in your browser.

    Certain US state laws allow you to designate an authorized agent to act on your behalf. We may deny requests if the agent does not provide proof of valid authorization under applicable laws.

    Request Verification

    When you submit a request, we must verify your identity to confirm you are the person whose data we hold. Personal information in your request will be used only for identity verification or to confirm your authority. If we cannot verify using existing records, we may request additional information for security or fraud prevention.

    If submitted through an authorized agent, we may require more information to verify your identity, and the agent must provide your written, signed permission to act on your behalf.

    Appeals

    Under certain US state data protection laws, if we decline to take action regarding your request, you may appeal our decision by emailing us at partnerships@appliedmind.com. We will inform you in writing of any action taken or not taken in response to the appeal, including a written explanation of the reasons for the decisions.     California "Shine The Light" Law

    California Civil Code Section 1798.83, also known as the "Shine The Light" law, permits our users who are California residents to request and obtain from us, once a year and free of charge, information about categories of personal information (if any) we disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes and the names and addresses of all third parties with which we shared personal information in the immediately preceding calendar year. If you are a California resident and would like to make such a request, please submit your request in writing to us by using the contact details provided in the section “How can you contact us about this notice?”
